Well youv’e done it again, your microphone sounds great, much more life-like and natural than my other conventional microphones.
I did all the alignment with a metronone as well as an absolute phase-checker
( all o.k.).
We recorded a piano in a very fine studio and after extensive listening to the recording I always preferred your microphone over the others. I congratulate you !
The 60” high suggestion seemed right on and everything else you said all made sense. The microphone had a really nice sense of presence as well. The engineer who was able to get me the studio and the player on such short notice is an independent engineer for the giant Bose corporation and he often does surround sound recording for them. He was also very interested in your microphone and what it accomplished.
A most positive aspect of the microphone is it’s ability to record the room holographically in a way that no microphone I have ever heard does.
All of the sounds in the room, regardless of how small or delicate are picked up beautifully compared to other microphones. This is something even my conventional omni-directional microphones can’t do.
